firstly: new essay, (barely) finished for spx! & here's the link to buy/preview it.

hello! it is me again.

wow, a long time since i've written. i'm no good at these recaps, so i'm not going to do one of ape. just this: it started out menacingly, & ended up magical, & seeing so many friends again was of course the best part of all. oh, but

it was rather, uh "cozy," but about what i expected. the people who came out were mostly local comix people, & it was great to have their support, & also to hang out at a good comic shop after hours & just talk comics for hours.& of course i baked for it, which made me feel happy.

well, i'm seeing spx reduxes all over, & i know i'm not usually very good at doing follow-ups to cons & events i've done, but here's my very limited impression.

jeez. off to spx in a few hours, i can't believe it. today has been so crazy, especially since, having totally wonked out my sleeping to try to finish the essay, my short-term memory is shot, & this whole week was pretty much one day for me.but i finished it! & my sainted printer got me a hundred beautiful copies of it in literally five hours.

i got back on the fifteenth, (my cnv signing was wonderful, photos can be seen here & here) sick in the head, & have been struggling with some success to get back into art-making brain.

here's another article in advance of my signing. i think it's positive, but i'm a bit nervous about how often he uses the word "drudgery."i'm off to tel aviv (then haifa, then back to tel aviv) now as soon as i finish packing, & i may not be near an internet until after the cnv event. whoo. starting to get nervous.
